Our Ballroom Dance studio is truly one of a kind. From our unique atmosphere to our state-of-the-art dancing floors, everything was carefully thought out in order to give our dancers and community members the best possible experience.

Our mission is to provide students of all levels with more than just dance classes: it's about giving you unique experiences in which you will grow both mentally and physically as a dancer and member of our beloved community.

Come learn with the best at Westmor Ballroom! All of our dance instructors are personable and fully certified to teach dancing at all levels. Our instructors are not self-taught like many out there nowadays; we believe in and pride ourselves on our quality of instructors, so each has a verified history of professional training for several years, with competitive experience in the Pro categories, and titles to match their hard-earned designation as a professional ballroom dancing instructor. OUR FAMED HISTORY

Some of the most incredible and widely-renowned dance legends have trained and performed within these magnificent walls, making the Westmor iconic in the world of dance. However, just how famous does the Westmor’s history get? Hollywood famous.

Before the Westmor was “the Westmor” it was known as the Ernest Belcher Dance Studio in the 1930s. Belcher was a ballet dancer and choreographer who studied ballet in London (however, ballet was not his only style of dance). Belcher coached well-known Hollywood Greats, such as Fred Astaire, Maria Tallchief, Shirley Temple, Cyd Charisse, and many more. Belcher also worked for Walt Disney Studios and his daughter, Marg, was the model for the original Snow White! His daughter grew up in this studio and Shirley Temple actually received her 3rd grade ballet certification within these walls as well.

The history of the Westmor Ballroom started with many Hollywood legends, continued to build with Ballroom Dancing legends, and now proceeds with YOU, our valued Westmor community member.
